Audience feedback.

Our audience feedback included positive comments about the music I wrote for the film because of the fact I wrote it and produced it myself, people also recognised to the link between the European style of the music in relation to the European names.  We had comments about the use of both diegetic and non-diegetic sounds. We had mixed feedback regarding the title and title effects. I used the earthquake effect on iMovie. We had a lot of positive feedback about the titles by people who thought the earthquake effect worked well, contradictory to the opinion of people who did not like the effect, some even said it gave an unpleasant feeling and suggested that it could give a similar effect to hand held camera work using the example of films like ‘The Blair Witch Project’ and ‘Cloverfield’ and likenesses. However we did have negative feedback including the fact that it was too dark in scene when I talk on the phone outside the house. The audience also noticed a spelling mistake on one of our titles spelling Salvatore and Slavitore.

Target Audience Research

We are making our film to be aimed at a 15 age rating because we will more viewers and hopefully gain more profits. Under a 15 rated film we can include frequent use of strong language (eg 'fuck'). But the strongest terms (eg 'cunt') will be acceptable only where justified by the context. Continued aggressive use of the strongest language is unlikely to be acceptable. Nudity may be allowed in a sexual context but without strong detail. There are no constraints on nudity in a non-sexual or educational context. Sexual activity may be portrayed but without strong detail. There may be strong verbal references to sexual behaviour. Violence may be strong but may not dwell on the infliction of pain or injury. Scenes of sexual violence must be discreet and brief. Dangerous techniques (eg combat, hanging, suicide and self-harming) should not dwell on imitable detail. Easily accessible weapons should not be glamorised. Strong threat and menace are permitted. The strongest gory images are unlikely to be acceptable. Drug taking may be shown but the film as a whole must not promote or encourage drug misuse.
